Petrol ended the week at 156.0p a litre on average across UK forecourts, down 2.2p on the week before. Diesel ended at 176.5p, down 4.2p. The figures come from 7,403 forecourts. The cheapest town for petrol was Coleraine at 147.1p. The most expensive was Shotts at 170.1p. Supermarkets were 3.4p a litre cheaper than other forecourts for petrol. Motorway services charged 18.3p above the national average.
