Privacy
Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can. This page says exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
When you browse the site
We set no cookies of our own and we use no advertising trackers. Our server keeps normal web logs (your IP address, the page, the time and your browser) for 30 days. We use them to run the site and to stop abuse. If we turn on analytics, it will be cookie-free (Ahrefs Analytics) and will only show us totals, not people.
Postcode searches
When you type a postcode into the search box, we send it to postcodes.io to turn it into a map location. We do not store it against you. If you use "use my location", only the map position needed to find forecourts near you leaves your browser, and we do not log it.
Price alerts
If you set up an alert, we store your email address, your postcode, the fuel and distance you chose, the confirmation code, and the dates and prices of the emails we send you. We use these only to send the alerts you asked for. We never sell them or pass them on. When you unsubscribe, the alert is switched off straight away, and the record is deleted 90 days later. We do this with your consent, which you give when you click the confirmation link.
Contact form
Messages are stored with your name, email address and IP address, and emailed to us so we can reply. They are deleted after 12 months.
Maps
The map images come from OpenStreetMap's servers. Those servers see your IP address when a map loads, under their privacy policy. Pages without a map do not contact anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time through the contact form. The data controller is Search Ventures Ltd.
