Petrol ended the week at 137.8p a litre on average across UK forecourts, up 4.7p on the week before. Diesel ended at 151.7p, up 9.0p. The figures come from 6,031 forecourts. The cheapest town for petrol was Beeston at 132.2p. The most expensive was West Berkshire at 152.5p. Supermarkets were 2.5p a litre cheaper than other forecourts for petrol. Motorway services charged 23.8p above the national average.
