Petrol ended the week at 132.1p a litre on average across UK forecourts, down 0.8p on the week before. Diesel ended at 141.2p, down 0.7p. The figures come from 5,228 forecourts. The cheapest town for petrol was Newtownabbey at 123.2p. The most expensive was West Berkshire at 143.6p. Supermarkets were 3.5p a litre cheaper than other forecourts for petrol. Motorway services charged 21.3p above the national average.
